hello...anyone out there.

This is 50s gal. I am not sure who still visits my site but I sort of left abruptly and just needed a break. With the coming new year I would like to return to posting, though my life is a bit different lately. I shall see who responds to this by 1 January 2015 to see if I should bother.
I hope all are well.

  16. I am on my third read-through, so I for one would love to have you posting regularly again. Every single recipe you've posted from 1955-'6 has been a winner. I have the flour measured out and the cheese grated right this minute to make the cheese crackers, but husband caught wind of my plans and told me not to do it! MY husband is not so accommodating as yours, for sure. I don't eat grains in any form, so these were to be a surprise for him for Christmas Eve, which will be spent in a motel far from home. But he is "dieting", which he does very differently from how I do it (I'm a low-carber, myself). So I will accede to his wishes and put the flour back into the canister and the cheese will be used for other things. Have the happiest of Christmases and come back to the Apronites in Jan. That's MY vote, anyway. Carole

  35. I have always loved your blog. I have literally read every single post, and have been through your 50's journey at least twice. I still check periodically in hopes that you will start writing again - I am really excited at the possibility! I know that it is a ton of work, and that maybe sometimes you 'need' to blog more than others, but I just want you to know how much I appreciate all that you have shared with us. Thank you Donna. Even if you never write another post, I'll always be grateful. Have a wonderful 2015!

  36. It would be great if you returned! I have loved your blog since the first time I read it, you will always have readers, the important part is writing because you want to not because people will read it, do it for you.
