I believe I shared these tips once back in ‘55. I think they are a good basic list for a husband and wife to consider. They certainly are valid today, I think.
Today is my hubby’s birthday and he has the day off. We will be spending the day at my MIL and were to have a cook out. Now, however, we are getting severe thunderstorms, so we may have to spend the day indoors.

Wow, that really is still relevant today. I once went into a home that had a kitchen like your 1957 model, free standing with no walls and it was oddly fascinating. It was right in the middle of a large room but provided a divider between the foyer and living room and it was a galley kitchen so you could not see the inside of it unless you walked around the side of it. It was a very "Frank Lloyd Wright esque home" and one of the most interesting I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteI gravitate towards the 50`s kitchens and shudder at the 60;s and 70`s, my grandmother used to have metal cupboards but my mom informed me after awhile they rusted.
